I'm reading a lot of request for help with bb 4.11.08 but I don't see any response from the Dev Team. I hope this is not an indication of what we should expect for a unlock solution. I have two iPhone4 with bb 4.11.08 that I just purchased on ebay. I hope they don't become paper weights. Thanks Dev team for your expertise. I have donated in the past and will again when you present a solution.
To DevTeam: why don't you even make the kind gesture to answer to ALL these people asking and asking? Is it so hard?! Why do you keep letting them hanging on your lips? Just say: "We don't have any solution (for bb 04.11.08) coming soon"! It's so simple, it's easy, costs nothing, it's gentle and it's true! It doesn't even reduce your value, while you have already done SO MANY PRECIOUS THINGS for us. Except if you're preparing a big surprise, or there's something going on, involving Gevey company....

Dev team will,, WILL not release a unlock for 4.11.8,, the unlock is completed. But they want to make money. The have teamed up with gavey to unlock the 4.11.8,, which is completed. They want to make every one wait as long as possible, til te point that you will pay what ever they ask for to unlock.. That's why the price of the new gavey for the 4.11.8 will cost $49... Multiply $49 times millions of waiting people,, that equals $$$$$$$$$$$$ for gavey and dev team.. MILLIONS $$$$$$

The answers is very simple . Because I also update 04.11.08 my iPhone really can't use in 3 month . But in Malaysia I was find of repair shop. They r change my baseband chip. Cost is 130.00 usd. Now I use my iPhone without gevey n software. Now my iPhone is sim free all the country sim card can use.
these guys calling themselves hackers have reach their limits with 4.8.11....their tiny minds can not get this unlocked...shame on them

the reason why they can not do nothing is because they are not hackers, all are being paid by apple to do it, apple provide the money and the tools, and they are not even close to do nothing.. Muclenerd i just a poser, he is just nothing, the only one that actually did something was GeoHot and he is out of the picture... same as Iphoneislam...they are fakers and posers... until apple decides that is time to send out the unlock, then they will and even they are still cowing with lime rain... that was done by geohot... they are nothing...

I had the same annoying problem but then I tricked my provider with a fake replacement confirmation from apple and it worked, they unlocked my phone! it's probably the easier way.. ;)
Don't wait for unlock 4.11.08 anymore. It's not gonna come in near future as apple keeping eye on all iOS hackers. Basically, all well known iOS hackers are apple's well paid slave nowadays......source:apple employee.
